I'd like to get the word out that the USO recently opened a facility in BNA.
I've been there twice, it's barely used. I want others to have the same opportunity to enjoy the benefits of waiting away from the gates during delays, early airport arrivals, late ride pick-ups, etc.
Nice digs with desktops, a variety of snacks and drinks, flat screens, small dining tables, and best of all, volunteers who are nice and anxious to please!
They will check your flight status for you.
Located in "C" concourse, tucked away to the right before the concourse exit where the TSA agent is there to make sure if you step over the exit "line", no, you can't come back in. If you're outbound and you clear security, head toward the entrance to "C" but don't turn right toward gate, keep walking straight and you'll see the red USO sign!
Vets and family members are welcome along with soldiers.
HTH!

Announcing the recent opening of the BNA USO
I've never flown to or through BNA, but it's always nice to hear about new USO lounges. I wish more of them at hubs were airside. Maybe we could start a wiki with a list of USO locations with some notes on how to get to the lounges, amenities, operating hours, and other information along those lines. I don't know which forum would be appropriate.
