Advice needed - Everglades tours

so South Florida is like a second home to me. I'm coming down to Miami in a few weeks for my partners bday and want to do something different so I'm looking at an Everglades Airboat tour (among other things). Alll the tours I've found only give you 30 mins or so on the airboat. Is that the standard length of time or are there one hour options? any tour companies more reputable then others? thanks for any advice. BTW, we are staying on South Beach and I don't plan on getting a car so i'm only looking for operators in Metro Miami. Thnx.

They've really cut back on what the airboat operators can do and where they can go. 30 minutes is pretty standard and probably long enough since they have to stay in a smallish area.

Also the one out at Cooper Town is good. Small boats for a more personal guide are available. And it is out Tamiami Trail. http://www.coopertownairboats.com/

I've done private tours from the other coast, so I'm sure there are options in Miami as well.

Check this place out, reviews talking about 1.5 hours private tours from Miami and decent feedback
