walking north from PBI
Does anyone know if it's possible to walk north from PBI?
My destination is an easy walk. On Google street view, it looks like the airport roadways have wide grass shoulders, and I wouldn't have to cross a single street to get to the North Congress/Belvedere entrance. But I'm concerned about being stopped by police.
Detouring over to the 8th Street entrance might work better. But while the map shows a connecting sidewalk between the terminal roadway and the 8th Street parking lots, street view from 2007 shows a big construction site in the way. Anyone know the current status?

I've never paid attention to be honest but there are usually plenty of cabs waiting outside baggage claim and I'm sure it'd cost less than $10.00 to get anywhere between PBI and Okeechobee Blvd.

Or take one of the rental car buses to the off site rental cars on Belvedere. Hertz or National look like the easiest, depending on which side of Congress you need to be on.
