Miami and ???
Planning a trip to Miami SB in June for 4-5nights and would like to follow this with a week on the coast at a slower pace. After some research I'm struggling to choose a suitable location on the east or west coast.
The important things are - Good choice and quality of restaurants, nice town to walk around, light shopping, good beach, not too many high rise hotels.
Been to Naples a few years ago and enjoyed the area & beach but would like to try somewhere else. Marco Island caught my eye but it appears pretty quiet? Sanibel and Captiva?
Not sure about the east coast towns at all and some advice would be great.
Thanks

Consider St. Augustine. As America's oldest city, it has tons of history, art galleries, interesting architecture, many good & reasonably priced restaurants, shopping (2 outlet malls) and nice beaches. The historic district is very walkable.
