AA Priority Lines at FLL?

Considering a flight in which getting thru the checkin and security lines quickly may be crucial. I have status on AA that allows me to utilize priority checkin services, but I am not sure to what extent this will help me at FLL. This for an 8:30am flight on Sunday 1/6. Anyone know about this?

There is a PA lane for ID checking, however, it then dumps into the regular screening lane so you will not save time in that regards. FLL is subject to senior citizens going/returning from a cruise, families with four children all under the ages of 5, the once in every ten years flyer probably a little more than other airports. I would not count on a quick security process (yes it may happen particularly with an early Sunday AM flight but I would not count on it.)

Thanks Newyorkgeorge, I guess I'd better look for alternative flights.

Can you use MIA instead? Or even PBI might be better.

The airports (especially FLL) will be extra-busy: in addition to the normal seasonal and cruise traffic, college football fans who have attended the Orange Bowl game will be leaving, and a completely different set of fans will be coming in for the BCS National Championship game on the 7th.
