REAL ID talk

i'm a new flyer. i have been reading alot about the Real id Online and it is scaring me. well i will be flying From Newark International to Fort Myers on July 13 to July 16. Going there probably won;t be the problem but maybe coming back because I read that Florida is Under the Real ID act. my Driver's license doesnt have a gold star on it But it is a valid license issued by the state of NJ. will i be able to board the plane? my passport is expired

It won't matter.

My drivers license is issued by Texas and I live part time in Florida. Texas doesn't use REAL ID either and I've never had issues getting on a plane in Florida because of my ID. Heck, Florida doesn't even make me get a new one.

And technically, since you don't need any kind of ID to get on a plane, it REALLY shouldn't matter.
