Like I said, the sticker was temporary for a test. I was told the tickets would be made from the material that the sticker was made from.

Funny, your first post in this thread said you thought it would be a great idea.
Yes, if it saved time it would be a great idea..

By the sounds of it, its a failed test.. an extra step unneeded.. and rocket science on top of a finger print.. perhaps guests are starting to feel like the heightened security is a bit overkill?

I'm sorry, I've been back for a while, and did look into this and totally forgot to respond.

The mickey-head poles are now gone. You can't even tell they were ever there I looked all over, thinking they may have moved them.

Finally, I went into guest services to ask. I was told they ran a test, which was extended to 2 weeks and then they just picked up all their stuff and went back to their offices. The cast member said that they do these things all the time - tests of all sorts to see what might work in the parks.

Generally speaking, he said the results are given to people higher up in the company for them to make decisions. No one at the lower levels are told if the idea will be moving forward, not, or altered and tested again.

FWIW - these cast members are those who also do the tours of the parks, including VIP tours. They're some of the only people who work there who would actually have more/better/accurate information about what was going on.

I thought it looked very promising - particularly the ability to move people into the parks that cannot get through the turnstyles - such as carriages and wheelchairs. Right now, they have to insert their ticket and go to a gate on the side of the turnstyle to get it. I wonder if they are thinking about having some entrances just for people who need extra assistance. And in Disney, that's a lot of people
