Birmingham Recommendations

I'm going to Birmingham in a couple of weeks for an overnight. Does anyone know of any good restaurants and/or attractions to take in while I'm there? Maybe a good barbecue place.

Anyone know about the Golden Flake factory tours also?

For BBQ, go to Dreamland.

I'm not really a fan of Dreamland. Birmingham has tons of local BBQ places. Personally, I really like Full Moon. I've heard a lot of good things about a few others as well and they are on my list to try.

For a great view of the city, go to Vulcan Park. Birmingham has a surprising amount of elevation to the city so I like going to Flip Burger or Chuy's in The Summit and grabbing a bite to eat outside overlooking the towns below. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in the Five Points area which is nice.
