hotel review thread?
I searched the forum several ways and failed to find a thread with reviews of hotels near Disney World.
Seems to me that such a thread would be useful enough to be a sticky in this forum.
People post a lot of questions about various properties, and people post a lot of information, but it is scattered.
Does such a sticky make sense to anyone else?
disclosure: I'm itching to post a review of the Buena Vista Palace, but don't want to start a thread just for that, nor do I want to waste time burying it in some more broadly themed thread.

Those reviews can be located in the specific hotel chain forum. For example, there's a pretty huge thread for the Hilton in Downtown Disney.

I use www.tripadvisor.com to get trip advice from actual users.

I still think some kind of collection would be handy, but realize it would be a pain to maintain.

You then might want to try www.disboards.com for their non-disney hotel information.
There's a wealth of info there for all things related to Disney & Universal. And really really detailed information.
Keeping that sort of a list here would become a nightmare
