Gulfport and New Orleans post Marti Gras?
Experts,
I am considering a trip to the Gulfport area beginning on Ash Wednesday (March 9th) and have a few newbie questions:
1. Does the Marti Gras crowd leave on Ash Wednesday, or is there "hangover" partying that continues on for a few days?
2. Is there a large spring break crowd in the area the weekend after Marti Gras?
3. Should we expect the weather to be warm enough for beach activities at that time of year?
Thank you for your help!

1. things settle down quite a bit after Tuesday, but I wouldn't call it 'dead'
2. USM is on break that week, and MSU's begins just after, but I wouldn't call it a 'large spring break crowd'
3. daytime highs are typically in 60s and 70s in March. Growing up on the coast I would waterski in March, but I was young drunk & stupid.
