Relocation to Bogota

I will be moving to Columbia (Bogota) within the next year and I am curious as to the following:

Attitude towards Americans

Is the capital district safe?

Business friendly? in that I am going to be starting a small business there

Thanks in advance

ColOmbia is a fantastic country. It has it's problems but I feel safer there than I do in the District of ColUmbia (do you understand the difference in spellings?) Bogota is a great city by far.

I am curious why you have decided to open a business in Colombia if you do not already know the answers to your three questions.

My partner is Columbian currently studying in the Netherlands, when he gets his degree I am moving to Columbia to be with him. He tells me the same things you have, I was trying to get an unbias opinion.

Thanks!

Apparently he doesn't. But in his defense, most Americans don't either.

Sounds like he's done a lot of research into this.

Or even, in his defence.
