Layover in Colombia and Check-MIG

Hi all, I have searched up and down and not been able to find any specific discussion of this. We are flying to Peru from JFK later this week on Avianca, with a layover in Bogota. Does anybody know if we have to fill out Check MIG for entry and departure, or if we are exempted from it because we are not actually entering the country?

For the most reliable information your best bet is to contact your airline....

I fly in and out of Colombia, often. If you're not entering the country (meaning that you remain in the transit area) then you do not have to fill out Check MIG. If the airline tells you to do it anyway, then you can do it online and it only takes 5 minutes, tops.

They probably didn't ask you on the flight if you wanted anything, either!
