Been almost two years since the last post in this thread... Seems like nothing's been moving on the ST front. Any thoughts?!

Other than some bankruptcies across the industry and perhaps Royal Air Maroc joining One World (the announcement was before Covid happened) there really has been little to no movement in any Alliance space for over 18 months.

There were some recent rumors about AH joining ST.
Also, the "new AZ" (ITA) was also supposedly confirmed to finally joined ST, but still waiting for an official announcement.

It wouldn't surprise me if VA/VS were to join SkyTeam since they're close partners with major SkyTeam members. OTOH, VA/VS traditionally haven't been alliance members and I don't see strong reasons for them to change their business strategy.

DL has always made it clear that joining ST for VS was not on the table. This may change of course but DL wants to play JVs and does not really care anymore about the alliance.
