Which ST airlines will have B787?

So NW will be the first N American airline with the 787,
CO has some on order too

Who else?

NW is the North American launch cutomer, so they're pretty high on the list. I believe they are the first SkyTeam partner to take delivery, but not 100%.

So how was it that NW ordered 6 months after CO do they get them first? Did CO just not want them earlier? What's the scoop?

I think that CO's approach was to get a bunch of planes, and also wait until the birds are rolling off pretty steadily, so that the delivery would be more consistent, plus they wanted to let the quirks work themselves out. Also, I'm pretty sure that part of their deal was to not get specific delivery slots, but to get the birds as Boeing delivers them in some range of time. Not completely sure of that, but I vaguey remember reading that somewhere.
