ST E+ benefits on CO, DL
I am a Lying Poo Gold on KL, and will be travelling to the US and need/want to fly on CO & DL, doing some MR's, while indulging my hobby of Cloud Photography.
I would like to know how CO & DL are likely to treat me if I want to make Same Day Changes.
DL apparently allows its Gold members to do so FOC, waiving the $50 fee.
But do they do for other ST E+ ?
Having had a quick search on the CO board, cannot find the answers to that.
Thanks for your help ?

CO allows standby for same day flights for free, unless it's recently changed. DL has let me once change without a fee, though it was from my 3 hour delayed flight to the earlier one that was also 3 hours delayed. She tried to charge me the fee, I was in the club room, stated I was gold on NW and that it wasn't my fault that the flights were late. Normally, they'll charge you.

DL will charge you for a change unless you are a DL elite. CO will let you either standby for free or do "confirmed standby" in some cases for $25. But pretty much any time the confirmed standby option is available there is a very good chance of making the standby list anyways, unless something happens to a previous flight in the interim.
You are EUA eligable on the CO flights as a KL elite, I believe, as part of the NW arrangement, but I'm not 100% on that.

CO allows same-day standby for free, or confirmed within 3 hours of the new flight for $25.
Note: to get the "free" standby, you need to go to the gate. If you ask a ticket agent at check-in, they're going to push the $25 option. I did do the $25 option once, I was trying to leave about 12 hours early... tried first to switch to a NW flight, found out that it was oversold and they were going to re-accommodate on the CO flight (which had 3 seats left). I called CO immediately and got one of the last few seats for $25. I don't believe I would have made the flight if I had done the "free" standby.

I have certainly been upgraded in the past on CO, and also with a companion too... who had never flown CO before, and was certainly not elite anything !

NW will allow you to do standby for another flight on the same day w/o any charge. Check with the folks in the WC, they will be more than happy to help you. Confirmed same day changes are $25, you can do this online with NW.
