Working For An Alliance? How Is It?

Hi folks,

I wanted to know if anyone here works for one of the big 3 alliances ! StarAlliance, skyteam or OneWorld.
By that I don't mean working for an airline that belongs to a certain alliance but working in the administration , logistic, etc of an alliance. i.e You offcial employer is the alliance.

1)I would like to know what's the sort of activities that someone who works for skyteam for example does! For example I guess that everything that has to do with miles, frequent flyer, booking round the world tickets, and the promotions the put on their website is directly referred to the airline and those who work for it .

2) Are there many people who work for an alliance actually hired from the member companies?

Please let me know a bit more abou it as I have increased my interest recently in all those alliances. i'm sure there must be more than one alliance specialists around here!

Regards

BM
