Have Any Skyteam Members Ordered The A380?

Have Any Skyteam Members Ordered The A380? If yes, have any Skyteam routes for the A380 been announced?

Korean Air has orderd 5 A380s. They intend to use them to ICN-USA routes.
AF also has ordered 10 A380s, which doesn't surprise anyone.
Future ST partner China Southern ordered 5 A380s, too.

Any idea where KE, AF and CZ stand in the A380 delivery schedule? It would be somewhat interesting to book a flight to ride on one although I'm guessing business class will carry a premium on the plane.

AF will have access to the A380 very soon. Indeed it has already invited some of its FB Platinum Flyertalkers to a free A380 "preview flight" to Canada (for more details, see AF forum) sometime next month.

No USA based airlines have ordered the A380 yet. It is unlikely that any of them will.

No, they don't. CO does not have any ordered A380 yet. It was already still on ordered with 787-8/9, too. CO will accepted deliverable around 2009. It would be correctable which specific years will delivered new 787 in 2009.

Also future partner Malaysian Air ordered 5, although later they were thinking of scrapping the orders, due to MAS financial difficulty.

Not until April 2009? I would’ve thought they’d be flying them much sooner than that, although I don’t think either JFK or LAX have made the required physical improvements necessary to receive the plane. But elsewhere.

BTW, CO has no Airbus planes of any type. They decided some years ago to choose only Boelng in order to streamline operations and maintenance. Only exception are the small jungle jets.

This late entry in service under the AF colours is due to the much publicized delays of the aircraft. Original delivery date for AF was April 2008 but Airbus announced a six month delay and offered Air France a new date of delivery around october 2008. Air France refused to receive the massive airliner during the winter period when the demand is slower and told Airbus to deliver the aircraft in april 2009 just before the summer season.

Malaysian Air was reportedly blackballed by AF for membership in Skyteam some time ago. There are no current plans for Malaysian to join Skyteam.
