Question Is Skyteam taking a summer vacation?

Just wondered if anyone knows whether Skyteam is still alive and kicking..... their website hasnt been updated with anything since July 2006, and considering the recent security issues - this is very surprising - and also maybe a little worrying....

Oneworld and Star Alliance seem to have a more proactive approach at keeping their alliance program members informed of current happenings and promotions.

Would appreciate if anyone who has heard/received recent info about Skyteam, can pass it on or provide a weblink etc.. thnx

Everything in France shuts down in August. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

The lack of an update to the 'News Banner' for quite some times suggests to me that an announcement of note might be imminent. Any thoughts?

Or maybe they know that their website is useless and has no valuable information on it, except for the timetable, so they know no one uses it. That means they dont need to update it, right

As I understand it, administrative offices for Skyteam are "virtual", meaning the organization does not have a strong (and, presumably, expensive) central support team like OW (Vancouver) or Star (Frankfurt). Perhaps whichever airline was on tap to loan staff over the summer to keep the website up to date is shirking its duties?
