Will fly AF in L economy. Whose frequent flyer program to sign for?

Question Will fly AF in L economy. Whose frequent flyer program to sign for?
I'm booking my brother on AF long-haul L economy.
He's not a frequent flyer, hence only the miles count. Most likely they'll be used for economy within Europe/ Asia whenever he manages to collect for a single free trip.
Shall I get him NW frequent flyer number? KLM? Somebody else? I can provide address in Europe/ US and Asia...

Forget about KLM and Air France as they only give 25% of the miles flown. Go with either CO, NW or DL.

Agreed. Most of my experience is with DL, so I'd say DL.

Having flown AF, and being a member of NW & DL, I'd recommend NW. Your brother would have a wide range of partner options to keep earning miles. I believe they have a very good promotion going on for asia residents - check it out before you sign on - he might make SE before you know!! cheers, FT
