Best FF program in ST
I'd like to know the best frequent flyer programme in SkyTeam regarding to the ease of earning points/miles and the low redemption cost of award seats (with availability taken into account). Thanx heaps

If they change them, that's one thing, but for the US domestic airlines, I generally hear that NW is a better option than CO or DL. Can't speak to the european airlines.

AZ is the way to go
AFAIK Alitalia is the only airline that gives you full flown miles for any paid class of service no matter which ST airline you're flying. And since you are in MEL the fact that they give (full!) miles for QF sectors should make your choice even easier!
Don't listen to anyone who tells you they're going under...They won't be failing anytime soon....they're expanding and I'm starting to see more people aboard their planes... ^

With Northwest, you might have a cruddy product, but NW elites generally have much higher upgrade percentages than CO/DL elites with many Plats pushing 95% (all dependent on what routes they take, of course).
