Which FFP?

I had asked a question a while back but the situation has changed. So here I go again

I am going to be taking occasional intra Europe J sectors on AZ (connections from OW flights), and a couple of disc Y sectors LAX-SLC (but that is an "abberation"). Mostly the former.

What would be the best FF proram to join? Previously I was advised DL, but it seems it is dumbing down standards even in F. What about NW?

I am most concerned about award redemption availability and levels, once I have accrued enough miles for an award - probably won't be a large award

Assuming you don't fly enough to be able to use domestic US upgrades, you're better off sticking with 1000Miglia, as they offer a minimum 2400 miles for international business class.

So what are my relative redemption values and chances from a 1000Miglia account for NA awards?
