HKG-TPE using DL miles

Trying to book HKG-TPE-HKG using DL or NW miles, SkyTeam website didn't help. Any ideas how I can do this?

I think your only option on SkyTeam is KE via Seoul. Call the partner desk of SkyMiles or Worldperks and see what they can do for you.

You should be able to use DL miles for an award HKG-TPE return on China Airlines. 35k economy, 50k biz, 90k first. But you have to call the SkyMiles desk to book partner airline awards.

Sure beats going via Seoul.

This is one of the highest-competition routes in Asia, so my thinking is that you should look into buying a ticket outright, instead of using so many miles. I bet if you use cathaypacific.com you could find something, though they may be more expensive. Try BR or CI, and also I bet some cheaper 5th-freedom alternatives, like TG, probably fly the route as well.
I'd be surprised if you don't find something for less than $150 in Y, $300 in J. Good luck!
