Skyteam Seeking Chinese Partner
http://news.airwise.com/display/stor...019131682.html
Skyteam, which is led by Delta Airlines and Air France, is looking for a Chinese partner to expand the two-year old international airline alliance.
The group, presently made up of six carriers, is to put forward a development plan for the country as it seeks to increase its presence in the growing Chinese air travel market.
Alliance members Aeromexico, Air France, Italy's Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta and Korean Air, see China as the region with huge potential. Delta already has a code-sharing agreement with one of the country's leading operators, China Southern.
Alitalia, which canceled flights to China after the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US, says it will resume the services soon
S.H. Park, general manager of Korean Air's Beijing office, said KAL will be able to fly to 11 Chinese cities when routes to Xiamen, Yantai and Jinan are open in May.
