KLM long haul intl upgrade using Delta certs?

Hello,

was thinking of trying to upgrade using a coupon (which I dont have personally) to upgrade from Asia to South American on KLM. I understand this to be SkyTeam. I have done this before using United, but not too familiar with SkyTeam rules.

Anyhow know how long in advance the upgrades can be applied (for example United allows 5 days)?

Does anyhow know where these upgrades are discussed? I often see the United Global Premier Upgrades being discussed on craigslist, but cant see any for Delta. Just curious.

Thank you! :-)

You'd probably get more responses on the mechanics of using Delta GUCs on KL flights in the Delta forum, for example:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...d-flights.html

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...d-flights.html

but Delta certs can only be used by the member that earned them or for the member's companion traveling on the same flight, and cannot be sold or transferred.
