Skyteam Lounge at IST

I'm looking for any reviews of the new Skyteam Lounge at IST. I searched and couldn't find anything. My specific questions are below, but I'd also be happy to be pointed to any trip reports with pictures of the lounge.

1. Is it convenient to the KLM gates?
2. How is the breakfast spread and what time do they put it out? I have a 0555 departure IST-AMS and would love to grab some breakfast and maybe a last cup of Turkish coffee before the flight.

Thanks in advance.

1. KLM does not have a dedicated gate. Gate 224 is the closest to the Skyteam lounge but the international gates run the entire length of the terminal so you could have quite a hike.

2. No idea, not been in that lounge yet, but as IST is pretty much a 24-hour operation and has a lot of nighttime activity/early morning flights, you're bound to find something approaching breakfast even at that time.

1. Yes, since the Lounge opened all my AF and KL flights departed from gates nearby the Lounge
2. I had the same flight. Lounge was already open when I arrived 15mins Prior to Boarding, but the Food offer was rather limited and all seats taken.

I am headed there this weekend on a mileage run; I'll try to offer some thoughts.

Asked this in the DL forum to no avail.

Can I get in as a Sky Club member? DL.com has the club listed as a partner lounge, same denotation as the KL AMS lounge, but there is no info on the Sky Team website.

I'm flying a DL codeshare on KL in Y and as a AS MVPG 75K, no Sky Team Elite Plus for me. So those options are out.

Much obliged.

Forgot to comment on this.

I did check out the lounge and it is a clear improvement over the old Millennium Lounge, but I still felt a bit let down. Best part were some seller free message chairs. I passed my time on my mileage run in the Lounge Club Lounge (CIP VIP) which is much better with fantastic food.

When I go to Delta's lounge search, search for IST, and check the Sky Club member box it appears that the membership is not valid for admission to the SkyTeam lounge. However, searching for LHR as SkyClub member shows admission is allowed. As far as I know these are the only two SkyTeam lounges, so I don't know why the policy would vary between the two.

I agree : no reason to have different policies between the only 2 Skyteam lounges. Could it be that DL site has not been updated after the opening of the new lounge and so they still refer to the former 3rd party lounge ?
