Skypriority in AMS: a small rant
I always wonder how comes in AMS (home airport of one of the alliance founding members) SkyPriority is so strict in allowing access to elite security lines.
No +1 allowed, ever. It is allowed almost anywhere else in the world I travelled to. Anybody has an idea of the reason?

Because the line is guarded also by a Schiphol employee. And Schiphol does not get paid the "priority" bonus for your +1. So they tend to be strict..
Having said that, I have managed a few times to pass through the priority lane with a +1 that did not have the right credentials..

Skypriority in AMS: a small rant
I had +3 today.
But for priority passport control, only use the one in Hal 2 with is by KLM. In Hal 3 it is guarded by AMS staff.
And choose the left lane cause the flight crew cuts through the right.
EDIT: woops, misread and I think you are talking about Schengen flights. There I have only experience with +1, and they said it was an exception (Schiphol staff).

Hmm that's strange i often thought the priority is very relaxed. When ever i am departing Amsterdam people just line up in the priority lane even though they obviously have no status...(As the line is the same length as the normal ones). So i just decided to line up in the normal line as there was no difference.
This I am mentioning is a non Schengen flight on CI to Bangkok -Taipei. Also i know for a fact that they only issue me with 1 priority for Bangkok when flying in and out and they wont allow one extra person with me.

Just wanted to note that KLM is not a founding member of Skyteam, although the alliance HQ is indeed at Schiphol. KLM joined 4 years after the alliance came into existence.

But since it's now owned by AF... *trolololo*

SkyPriority is an elite benefit for the person who has earned that status or is a benefit based on the fare that was purchased for some particular passenger's ticket. It doesn't extend to F&F or other random kettles. IMO strict enforcement should be applauded by those who are entitled to SkyPriority. Why should we wait longer so that others can use a benefit that they have not earned according to SkyTeam published rules?
