Family Accounts
Hi everybody,
I was wondering - is there any skyteam frequent flyer program that allows family accounts?
In One World BA allows that and on *A TK allows that, but I couldn't find any SkyTeam airline that allows that. Did I miss something?
Thanks in advance.

There is one SkyTeam FFP which allows family members to pool their accounts.
It is SkyPass of Korean Air.
But I would not recommend it for two reasons.
1. No elite bonus miles.
2. miles expires after 7 years. No way to extend them.
The program is mainily for the Koreans, and most of its members are indeed Koreans.

However, this summer the 4 of us will fly TLV-CANADA business class with KL, and since we usually don't use skyteam I would like to have all these miles in a family account so that we will be able to use them...
(BTW, the reason we are using KL is that they were around 1000$ cheaper per ticket then any other airline).

There is a chance that you will get no miles from your KLM flights to Skypass.
booking class
T,E,N,R,G,V,W,A,S,X: no miles
K,H,L,Q: 50%
M,U: 75%
Y,B: 100%
J,C,I,Z,D: 125%

I usually don't fly SkyTeam anyway - mostly BA and LY.

Saudia Alfursan allows family accounts and seems quite generous with the benefits.
I ended up Gold on Alfursan this year and have spent many hours on the web platform playing with my 'Alfursan Online' account.
There is Family Members program which permits one to nominate family members using the online tool. The nominated family member's flight activity gets accumulated into the main account holders profile and I presume accelerates the progress towards elite status.
Alfursan still doesn't charge the raft of fees and surcharges for points tickets, so a free ticket is still free.
Cheers
