Looking for Serious OKPLUS Advice
Hey guys I got about 20 000 points, I know not much... But so does my girlfriend. Making 40k the total combined. As you know we used to be able to transfer to hilton honors, went to do it about a month ago to find out they couldn't do this anymore. All the gift options are also gone except for Canadian Dental Cleaning and a gift card to some Fashion store in Czech. I need neither... Nor do I need a car rental. These card is totallly on its way to not-existing along with the airline carrier itself. It doesn't do the one thing that it was really brought to life for--Direct flights to the Czech Republic, which seem like they are getting cut by the day. Anyway back to the topic of concern, what can I do with my points to salvage whats left before it closes/they expire/etc.
What has everyone else been doing with there points?
Thanks for taking the time to read my rant/post!

you cannot do much with 20.000 miles. Czech Air does not have many ways to use miles. Transfering them would cost you 0.2 CZK per mile. But then if you want to use them for an award ticket, the taxes and fees equal almost the same like if you buy a regular ticket. It only pays off if you buy a transatlantic business, you still pay $600 on fees but what the heck.
CSA now frequently offers specials on award tickets, usually for half price, but it's mostly flying to Russia. The offer changes every month. Check their web www.okplus.cz
