Help: Looking for info on "cheap" destinations

Greetings:

We are starting to plan a RTW trip on SkyTeam using Delta miles. This will be our first time using Skyteam for a RTW trip so we are a wee bit hazy on destinations and just how the US $ is doing in Skyteam locations.

What we have found out over the years is that you can't just go by the exchange rate, if a local is paying 15.00 local currency for a hamburger and you have to add 25% on it due to the exchange rate that is rather a rich hamburger!!

So if any of you good folks have any suggestions we would love to hear them.

Thanks to all......TT

We have used Oneworld on previous RTW trips

Skyteam destinations and oneworld destinations are pretty much overlapping, you just hub through different locations. That said, using the Economist's Big Mac index:

you should avoid much of Europe (especially Norway and Switzerland), South America and Australasia, and head for most of Asia (ex-Japan) and Africa.
