Segments in AF-KLM

Hi,

I'm new here

I'm basen in Stuttgart now, and I'm Silver in M&M.

I've read that with AF-KLM with 30 segments you get SkyTeam Elite Plus(Gold). But it's unclear about the type of segments.
For example, if I do STR-AMS-BCN and BCN-AMS-STR in economy... żthis is 4 segments?

Thanks in advance.

Hi procyon - welcome to flyertalk and this nice little corner of the forum.

And yes, every single flight counts as a segment on paid tickets. Hope you'll make it fast to status on FB!

Although, some (few) cheap fare buckets on some ST airlines may not be eligible for mileage. Then, they also do not count as segments.

Oh, I stand corrected then. In the past I had the experience that even if you don't get status miles the segment would count. Might have changed or I just had luck myself.

These must be really rare. I've never met any of these fares on DL, AF or KL, and I fly a lot of DL T and AF R fares..

I saw one today. For CDG-BOS, you can get a CDG-YYZ-BOS with CDG-YYZ on R fare on Air France and YYZ-BOS on V fare on Air Canada. Considering that Air Canada is *A, that's understandable.
