Upgrades for E+ status?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had the experience of getting an op-up or a complimentary upgrade on DL with an Elite+ status of any other SkyTeam carrier.

My perception is that DL FF cards are required for that. Am I missing something?

very rarely. Once all SM FOs are upgraded and they are still overbooked they will consider it ... only once for me.

VERY unlikely to happen on DL. Don't hold your breath.

How about on AF? I booked a premium voyageur trip (I'm DL Gold / ST Elite) and was planning to inquire (beg nicely) at the gate as I'm presently showing being in an A class (which I thought was 'upgraded to first')...anyone ever able to go from premium voyageur up? I'm flying on an AF booked ticket but using my DL # and they did recognize I was skyteam elite...

I've been upgraded on AF from Tempo to Tempo+ but nothing more than that.

That happens to me frequently (and I'm not an AF cardholder, but an AZ cardholder)

It happens one time for me from Y to F, between NYC and ATL on a RTW booked in business. And the man at the gate says that he does not need to see my AF/KL Plat.
I suppose the reason was no biz class on this flight.

Usually AF only upgrade when overbooked! I have been upgraded in AF business across the atlantic on overbooked flights but that is all.
