JFK Lounges
Can someone help me please!!
I have a layover in (JFK 5 hours) and am traveling to Venice on a paid buisness/First class ticket with Delta, I also have an amex platinum card is the only lounge I can use the Crown room or can I use others with theses qualifications. If I can use others would you reccomend which ones are better.
Thanks for your replys.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!!
You're pretty much stuck with the SkyClubs in Delta's T2/3 complex. There are a few of them and one of them (I don't remember which) is known for having better snacks out prior to the bank of European flights. Other than that they are not much to write home about. At least you've got free booze and wifi to keep you busy.
You will have enough time that you can wander over to T4 and enjoy the land-side "mall" that they have in the terminal if you get bored being inside the T2/3 complex.

With a 5 hour layover, I'd try to head over to the airside Oasis lounge in T-4. sbm12 might be able to tell you if you can get it. I used my PM status w/ a international Delta ticket (in coach) to get in back in September.

You might be able to get into the Oasis lounge if you are SkyTeam Elite Plus.
I would google them call them and see. They are in T4 but are LANDSIDE. It is a MUCH better lounge than any Delta SkyClubs.
The better food, or "pre-flight appetizers" as Delta calls them, are being discontinues on Jan 15th, after that there will just be "snacks" available such as "cheese", crackers, nutella, hummus, biscoff cookies,...
I say "cheese" because it is actually a "cheese food" type processed dairy substance and apparently doesn't qualify as a real cheese...

Bummer. That was about the only thing of value in JFK for DL anymore.
