Sky Team Upgrades
I was formerly a Worldperks member but as of about a month ago I am now Gold on Delta. I am currently living in Norway so I am constantly starting my international travel here and transferring in Amsterdam. I have never been upgraded on any itinerary from Norway. Upon reserving seats on Delta.com for an upcoming trip I realized that it says I am not "eligible" for upgrades. I am assuming that this is because I am traveling on KLM operated flights. The trans-continental flights usually have a DL or NWA flight number in addition to KLM but I check in on KLM on the short flight from Norway to AMS. Is there anyway around this so I could be eligible for upgrades on these itineraries starting from Norway? Maybe in my situation I should switch to flying blue.

I don't believe free upgrades are part of the general European Skyteam benefits. As a Platinum, I have gotten some courtesy upgrades into Business Select while in Europe, but not at any regular interval.
I don't much like DL these days, but AF/KL's frequent flyer program isn't very good, either.

I've always understood this benefit to be strictly limited to flights operated by the same carrier as their FF membership (ie FlyingBlue for KLM/AF, OKPlus for Czech Airlines etc).

Plus Biz select is basically not much of an upgrade, coach seat, maybe some partially edible food but those that buy it get lounge access....
