Restructuring of ACRISS codes
It seems that Sixt has processed a systemwide restructuring of their ACRISS codes.
For instance:
- FDAR is now GDAR
- FWAR is now GWAR
- FWAX is now GWLR
- XXAX is now XELR
- ...
The new list is below (source). I'm curious what this will mean in terms of upgrades.
Also, at the time of writing, all luxury cars have been removed from the booking engine in Germany.
1st Letter: Category
M = Mini
E = Economy
H = Economy Elite
C = Compact
D = Compact Elite
I = Intermediate
J = Intermediate Elite
S = Standard
R = Standard Elite
F = Fullsize
G = Fullsize Elite
P = Premium
U = Premium Elite
L = Luxury
W = Luxury Elite
X = Extraordinary
O = Oversize
2nd Letter: Body Type
B = 2-door Sedan
W = Wagon
C = 4-door Sedan/Gran Coup
F = SUV
T = Convertible
P = 2-door-Pick-up
E = 2-door-Coup
V = Van
Q = 4-door-Pick-up
3rd Letter: Drive Type
M = Manual
A = Automatic
D = 4-Wheel Drive (Automatic)
L* = Luxury Vehicles (Automatic)
S* = Special Cars (Automatic)
4th Letter: Fuel & Air Con
R = ICE vehicle
H = PHEV vehicle
E = BEV vehicles (Short Range)
C = BEV vehicles (Long Range)
V* = 5+2 Seater vehicles (ICE)
P* = additional differentiator for luxury cars
Y* = additional differentiator for luxury cars

I have been downgraded from LDAR (Luxury Sedan, BMW 530) to UDAR (Premium sedan, Mercedes E class) on an upcoming booking (with no notice of course).
There are no luxury sedans available for my location with the next one up being a BMW 7 series (Extraordinary category, XDDR). I am considering requesting an upgrade to a Luxury (VW Touraeg)/Luxury elite SUV (BMW X5) through customer service so I do not have to negotiate that upon arrival, but not sure if realistic or if they will fob me off with a small refund.
