Question about Diamond Status

Anyone have any idea on how to get diamond status? Seen on the website that it’s by invitation only, but invitation only after how many rentals?

"Invitation only" is just that. Nothing to do with number of rentals. Invitation is based on top tier frequent flier status (e.g. HON with M&M and Platinum with Emirates).

I dropped out of the highest tier at Emirates but received Diamond status after. However, I do rent weekly a car at Sixt. So I think it has a little bit to do with your rental as well. Which makes sense.

Not sure if related, but I just try to book a rate and as option I could select "Diamond Service". Anyone an idea what this might be?
Never seen it before (or at least did not pay attention to it).

Sixt Diamond upgrade?

If you are Plat & want to get Diamond by paying it costs 149€/year. The fee is waived if you spend >10 000€/year.

Usually Diamond is obtained by nomination from the local station or via complementary status from other loyalty programs.

I am Diamond (since about a year) and I don't really notice that much difference, but we'll see what this year brings.

I think it's EUR 149 per month.
