Thumbs down Beware of Sixt branches...

I rented a Mercedes from Sixt in Tel Aviv in May and have been paying 5000+ Euros a month on my Centurion card - now well over 35K in rental fees. No memberships or rewards programs or anything has ever been mentioned or offered, yet I understand now that if I had been told at the start - I could have make considerable savings with membership schemes etc. Now the branch just shrugs and says I get zero in terms of loyalty or other rewards. What a farce in terms of customer service. This has irritated me enough to join a forum for the first time. Go to other car hire companies folks - where they value regular customers.

This must be one of the most weird "beware of XYZ" threads I've ever seen.. seriously!

What's next? The supermarket had a saving schema, but the cashier didn't told me about it?

If the supermarket cashier takes a card that has an offer on it, is it fair and right that she ignores it and fails to tell the customer that the card should attract a discount? Seems crap service to me and not very weird at all. I guess forums attract a range of opinions and ideas though.

If you are saying that you have made 1 continuous rental since May, then you wouldn't actually be entitled to anything within the rules of their scheme.

Why on earth did you not just buy a new Mercedes on flexible finance and then sell it when you have finished with it? Would be far cheaper then paying 5,000 Euros per month.

+1

Any experienced traveler knows that ALL major airlines, hotels and car rental companies have reward programs. One of the first things any frequent traveler does is sign up for those programs. H3ll, even many infrequent travelers do it. I would think that someone carrying a Centurion card would know this. @:-)
