How is Sixt in Spain?

I am planning to rent a "5-series manual or similar" (PDMR) category in Madrid. Please tell me your experience of dealing with Sixt in Spain, whether it was good or bad. Any advise/suggestions are welcome. Also, if anyone rented PDMR in Spain, I would be interested to hear what make/model they got.

Nice! Did they tell you whether it was their "regular" PDMR car or you were given this because they didn't have anything lower? Did you see any other comparable cars on the lot?

Also, did you rent from the airport or city center location? I thought I would save on the airport fee but they might have more/better cars at the airport.

That was Madrid airport. They just told me what car they allocated me, without saying they'd upgraded me. But I am Sixt Platinum for what it's worth.

When I got back there was a couple of 5-series GT's there too which I believe are in the LDAR category. I had presumed the A7 was too, but now it's listed as XDAR in Spain.

I believe it goes like this:
PDMR - 4-cyl 5-series manual
PDAR - 4-cyl 5-series auto
LDAR - 6-cyl 5-series/GT auto
XDAR - S-Class, A7, 7er

I doubt there are many PDMRs on fleet in Spain. That size of car always seems to be auto. In fact, for that matter, I've never seen a FDMR in Spain either - always been given an FDAR 3-series auto.

Thanks for the info, good to hear that there is a potential for a nice upgrade there.
