First time with Sixt...not bad.
Spent 8 days in Germany. Rented from Sixt at FRA. Traveled with my wife, 2 year old and my inlaws.
The counter was right outside the luggage area. I filled out all the forms online and thought it would be super fast. Nope. Just one agent.
After 4 minutes of waiting another agent came out. I waited in line a total of about 8 minutes. Not to bad.
Rented LWAR. Hoped for a R350, Got a 2012 BMW 525D. The agent was a bit taken back that I declined all insurance. I have an AMEX that I signed up for their extra insurance for $20 a rental period. The AMEX is the FIRST in line for insurance vs most credit cards where my personal insurance would be first.
Car had a bit of damage. Nasty large scratch/blemish (about the size of a Compact Disk) on the drivers door. All was noted on the receipt.
Car was very well loaded. Panoramic Sunroof, Full Color Heads Up Display, Multi-Contour Seats, Heated Seats and a semi smart key.
My 2004 Prius has a real smart key...stays in my pocket the entire time. This 2012 BMW required me to dig out the key to unlock the doors, but once inside...the key could go anywhere.
My first time driving a BMW. Very impressed. Hit 200 Km/h on the autobahn....and was passed several times. Very stable.
Drove over 1600 KMs and averaged 38.9 MPG according to the onboard computer. Very nice.
The return process was a little odd.
Arrived at 6:30AM. Agent was there. Used a handheld computer to scan a barcode. Basic visual inspection and said ,"You're all set Mr. Smith". No receipt? Nope. Hmmm k.
Very nice experience overall. Happy to see the car was way more equipped than the base 525D.

I asked the gentleman "Do I get a receipt" and he replied, "No you are all done."
Don't know if he was just tired or not in the mood, either way no receipt was offered.
The Sixt website list LWAR as BMW 525/530d Touring *NAVI*
