What has happened to Sixt EDI?

I have rented from the Edinburgh office a number of times in the last few years and been happy with both cars and service. On my recent rental I was checked in by a less than charming young lady, who wanted Sixt card, driving liscence ,passport and credit card!
On getting the car I pointed out some extra damage this was duly noted on my paper. On return I showed the my paper so that I would not get charged for the damage. I have now recieved a letter and for claiming that I have damaged the car.
I hope the office returns soon to its previous high standards

Thank you for sending me the details regarding the damage claim.

I will check the details with my colleague and report back to you.

Could you explain what is wrong with that?

I would assume he expected a charming lady and what he got instead was a _less_ than charming lady.

The fact that he was billed for damage to the car which he didn't cause probably didn't make him all too happy either.

On previous rentals here they only wanted my Sixt plat card and licence,as cc details are linked to the card. So I was a bit surprised by the extra requests. Seems a retrograde step compared to Hertz gold service.
Hopefully Sixt can find a faster way sometime
