in terms of prices it wont make a difference anyway, because this is still the week tariff, unless it is a company rate, that could make a difference.

but regardless of if you change it now or not... it is going to cost the same as if you dont tell sixt

As far as I know, it was an individual reservation, so altering it won't actually make any difference. Thanks a lot anyway (:

Thanks

Hi ExtremeBandit, The ILAR has the BMW 1 series, and Mercedes A Class. The PDAR is the BMW 5 Series, or the Mercedes E Class, unfortunately we cannot guarantee a specific make or model, however if you wish to make a request feel free to private message me with any reservation details you have and I will be sure to add a request to the system. I hope this helps. Many thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your response. I do understand that I cannot be guaranteed a specific make/model. What I need to know more specifically is what models are in the range. Eg, are all BMW 1 series models available in the ILAR range or is it just 114 or 116 etc. Knowing which specific models I could potentially receive will help me decide between ILAR/PDAR.

Do I need to worry about this ?

Why should you be worried about it, it is a rental car and therefor responsibility is with Sixt. I guess a mechanic put the wrong plates on the cars. Maybe point it out when you return it so that they can sort it out

I'm renting XFAR car from Frankfurt airport . Does anyone know what i'm likely to get?

How can I voice my concern with my last rental @ Sixt? After calling the hotline on a Saturday, I was told I must call customer service which is only open Monday through Friday. After waiting to call CS during the week I was told I had to write an E-mail once my rental was over. After writing the e-mail no one has responded. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I have made a Sixt booking via Expedia as the price was not as competitive direct with Sixt. I will be collecting and returning the car to MXP and am now planning my trip. We would like to go round Lake Maggiore but I can't tell from the Expedia information whether I can take the car into Switzerland or not, it just states:

"Geographical restrictions may apply, even for rental contracts that feature unlimited mileage. Some car rental companies do not allow you to take their vehicles across certain domestic or international borders"

Can you confirm that we can cross into Switzerland please.

Also, is equipment noted on your website as required to drive in Italy (High Visibility Vest and Warning Triangle) included in the vehicle please?

@ Kazza ,I can't imagine that there will be restrictions on going to Switzerland. If you look at the Sixt UK website you will find all details for you rental

Hi Pointy, I would like to discuss this with you. Could you private message me? Also, I would advise to remove the vehicle data from your post in order to protect your details. I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks, Tom

Hi SgtSweetchuck, The example vehicles in the XFAR class are the BMW X5, and the VW Toureg. Therefore it would be one of these two or something very similar. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions feel free to get in touch. Many thanks, Tom

Hi Kazza, There are no restrictions on driving the vehicle into Switzerland. You can check online at http://www.sixt.co.uk/rental-service...l-information/ for all of the rental information, just ensure Italy is selected from the drop down box. With regards to the mandatory items, these should be included in the vehicle. I hope this information is helpful. If you require any further assistance feel free to contact me. Many thanks, Tom
