Ground Transfers

There are five of us traveling from Changi Airport to the Singapore Hilton. Would we be able to get a taxi minivan after arrival, or should we pre-reserve a transfer. If you have an idea regarding approximate costs, that would be very much appreciated.

Not sure of the price of a minivan, but the total cost of two regular taxis is only going to be about US$30 all-in.

I second the suggestion to take 2 taxis. Singapore has excellent taxi service. It's cheap (as stated) and they use the Toyota Crown taxi that you also see in Hong Kong, so you'll have plenty of room. The taxi stands at Changi are well ordered (as you would expect in Singapore), and the trip to the SIN Hilton should take about 20 minutes. You can also pay by credit card and the driver won't hassle you like they do in NYC

Just follow the signs to get a maxi cab. These are mercedes vito vans that can carry up to 7 pax. S$50 fixed price to any destination in Singapore (about $33). No need to bother booking in advance, there are always plenty waiting (and as PP states, 2 regular cabs would work fine too).

Added advantage that it bypasses the regular taxi queue that can occasionaly be lengthly depending on your arrival time
