Transit Singapore
Hi All,
I am transiting Changi between Finnair and Qantas in December. LHR/HEL/SIN/BNE One ticket.
The transit route keeps updating and the future ones are not indicated on the Changi website.
Does anyone know if this route is possible or where I can find the latest info?
Given a choice. Would you transit via Singapore or Hong Kong?

If i am flying FRA-DOH-SIN-SYD on QR and QF separate bookings transiting via SIN.
Just in case QR does not interline my baggage, the question is would SIN allow me to check-in on QF?

Can anyone confirm if Category 2 countries (US) transiting through SIN on a non-VTL flight is allowed - with unrestricted access throughout the airport (dining shopping etc.)
Flight in question is JFK-FRA-SIN-BKK on 1 ticket.
According to this link (https://www.changiairport.com/en/air...rt.html#lifted) we are, but this link on the SQ website (https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/s...singapore/#cag) suggests otherwise.
"Transit Passengers from Category II countries who are not on a designated Vaccinated Travel Lane
Upon disembarkation from your flight, you should proceed to the Central Transit area of Changi Airport. You may be escorted to this area by the airport’s staff. You will be requested to stay in this area, and will only be able to enter the gatehold areas one hour prior to your flight departure. Passengers who are eligible to access the SilverKris Lounge will find our relocated Lounge in the Central Transit area. Please note that some eateries and attractions may be closed during this time. The rest of this section does not apply to you."

Based on that would see separate flights (FRA-DOH-SIN/SIN-SYD) on 02 Jan 2022 at risk. I would be looking for a new single ticket flight for FRA(or EU)-xxx-SYD

I've just booked LHR-SIN-BNE on BA and QF, transiting in SIN, all one ticket for April. I know a lot can change in that time and that's why I cashed in some AA miles so the ticket is fully refundable in the event of issues of any kind. Based on how things stand today:
1) I'm a little confused if you can transit between airlines at the moment
2) UK and Australia both count as VTL countries don't they?
3) The PCR test needs to be done 2 days before departure for SIN, not arrival in SIN, right so if my flight leave at 10pm Friday I need to do my test any time from 10p Wednesday. I need to check what Australia's time frame is.
I have looked at SQ for pricing in Y, but it's as dear as CX PE at the moment. EK and EY aren't flying in yet. QR has a horrid connection back. I know when Anna allows international travellers into Queensland, airlines will ramp up flights where possible. But for now I've at lease secured a seat (PE on the BA leg, Y with QF as no PE cabin on that leg. Grrr!).

offish topic
Between now and April 2022 requirements may/will change
AU PCR test requirement is 3 days (not the same as 72hrs)
So with careful timing one PCR test may be OK for both SG and AU

A negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result is required for travelling to or transiting through Australia. Evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 3 days before your flight’s scheduled departure must be provided to your airline when you check in.
