True, taking a Taxi or a private hire (Grab, Tada, Ryde, etc..) would be best, you'll have time to experience the MRT while you're here for your business trip.
Taxi is considered very cheap here for you guys, prices now are probably around the $20 range. You can refer to this Transport Guide. If it's just you traveling, you can consider the shuttle bus as well.
Oh and Happy New Year 2021, we just struck midnight here.

This is the exact answer that I'm looking for and sure beats looking at the MRT map...
Going to read up on the property now.

If you do not mind taking the bus instead, Bus no 36 will stop at the bus stop outside Conrad Singapore. Take the public bus at the basement level of the airport and unless it is peak hour, the bus is usually quite pleasant to take part of its route goes through the ECP and the Benjamin Sheares bridge so it's a more scenic route. Its a direct bus, while the Marriott above Orchard MRT requires an interchange. Conrad is also accessible via the MRT with the Promenade MRT station beneath the hotel.
Taking the taxi, the Conrad or the Andaz is probably the closest to the airport.

Everyone will have a different answer, that is why you need to work it out for yourself.
I would choose JW Marriott South Beach. Two options for getting to airport - it’s connected underground via Raffles City SC to City Hall MRT - which means only one change across the platform at Tanah Merah (the Orchard Rd options involve two changes) or is even closer to Esplanade MRT but that’s requires a change at Paya Lebar + Tanah Merah.

Also, Changi MRT serves 2&3 easily, but 1&4 annoyingly (need to walk or take sky train to t1, need to take bus from t2 to t4)
T2 is closed until Nov 2021 (18month renovation since may 2020), T4 closed &reopening unknown
uA is at t3, NH is at t1, but these could change when reopen happens
Having good MRT access is good for day-to-day, but also depends on what you want to do (shopping? Orchard, marriott and hilton and gtand hyatt there, andaz at bugis)
Quite easy to go on google maps and search Singapore+hotel chain, you can easily see the MRT station icon. Click on the MRT station icon and you'll see where the MRT line goes

I forgot about this one, it's the closest and also a relatively short underground walk to the green/EWL line that takes you to the airport with one change (andaz is very close to the station, but at the blue line, the green line further away). And has the added bonus being, IMHO, a bit closer to some more interesting parts of Singapore, than the soulless Orchard Rd.
