Long Layover in SIN

Hey guys I don't usually post here, but at the end of this month I'm flying with my boyfriend to DPS thru SIN for a friends wedding, but we are going to stay in SIN for a full day. We are arriving into SIN after midnight on Thursday and we're staying in Singapore all day Thursday and I'm looking for some advise on what to do what to see and where to eat in the little time we have there. we are leaving early Friday morning making our way to DPS so again thanks for any advise you can provide me wit...

Just curious if this is on a single PNR (ticket) all the way from the US to DSP or two separate PNRs? If it is two separate PNRs, then you might have to deal with the hassle not being able to check your luggage all the way to DPS. Then again, you layover is from Thursday midnight to Friday morning, which is more than 24 hours. So even if it is a single PNR, you still might have to take your luggage out in SIN and recheck it.

If you can check your luggage through to DPS, when you arrive around Thursday midnight, the most convenient thing to do would be spend that night at the Changi airport transit hotel. Then Thursday morning you can leave your hand luggage at the airport Left Baggage storage and take the MRT (metro) into the city. They have a left luggage counter both airside and landside.

You can spend the entire day in the city and at night take the MRT back to Changi, get your luggage, go through immigration and spend the 2nd night again at the transit hotel. This would mean that you would have to have the boarding passes for the SIN DPS flight. If you are flying Singapore Airlines, at SIN they let you check in 48 hours before the flight.

What you want to see and do in Singapore totally depends on what interests you. I have taken the MRT and visited Little India, Chinatown, Peranakan Museum and many other places while in transit at SIN. I find that taking the MRT into the city very convenient.

I'm curious did you even have a cursory look at the first page of this forum before posting?
There are several threads right here without having to do a search that are plenty informative and give you many options:

I always recommend Marina Bay Sands and Lantern hotel (for drinks at night)
Also my favorite thing I saw i experienced in Singapore was the Infinity Pool at Marina Bay Sands. If you get the chance you should definitely check it out. It's absolutely amazing!

Bugis Market was also very good during the day for shopping and fruit drinks.

You can't get there unless you stay at Sands.
