Is 6 hours in SIN worth it?
I'm planning a flight, and can fit in a 7-hour connection in Singapore. I figure after customs and security both ways, that leaves ~6 hours of free time. I've read about several tours that can fit into that time constraint, but I was wondering if anyone had personal experience with that much time in Singapore... is it worth it?

Depends where you are going. I did this a few months ago and would have preferred a tighter connection for more time in Bali. That said, Marina was nice and another passport stamp is always welcome.

Is there any issue with traffic? I was told by an acquaintance that the airport is on the outskirts of the city and that traffic can be problematic, while another said that there's not that much traffic at all.
I'm connecting to BKK for a wedding two hours after I land... so I'm also considering dropping my SIN connection to an hour and getting to BKK early so as to not have any time issues.

why not take the mini/short tour on your way home instead on your inbound trip? and as plenow said, theres a free tour you can avail of if your transit time in SIN is over a certain number of hours. If I am not mistaken however, flight has to be on SQ (but i may be wrong on this).
Having said that, you can happily spend 7 hours in SIN as there are many things to do..you can even go for a swim in their ambassador lounge (for a fee).
Not too sure what time you'll be arriving in SIN...but during peak hours and depending where you are...you can wait for a very, very long time for a taxi in the city centre (usually at around 6 PM)
If you want to take a short tour of SIN, i would suggest doing it after your BKK trip IMO

Thanks for all the advice!
I'm flying in on ANA, but flying out on SQ.. don't know if that'd qualify, or if it has to be on arriving flight. But I looked up tours, and they have 2-hour ones throughout the day, so that might work very for me.
I also looked up the lounge prices; not at all too extravagant. Though I didn't see any mention of ticketed entry; wonder if I could get in for free with my business class ticket.
I can't stop in after the fact, unfortunately. This is a one-way connection from HND. I'm leaving from PVG and won't stop in SIN again on the way out.
