Post Office in Transit Area at SIN

I will be on a layover in SIN and will be staying in the transit area. I am bringing a couple of small packages (less than 2kg each) that I want to get to my friend who lives in Singapore. So I figured I would just mail them from the airport while I am there. On the Singapore Post website, it shows locations in the transit area. My questions are:

- If I mail them from the transit area (i.e. airside) to an address in Singapore, do I need to do a customs declaration of some kind? After all, the goods are entering the Singapore via the mail, right?

- Can the Mobile Post Offices take a small package of less than 2kg?

- Do the post offices take a credit card for payment, or only SGD cash?

FYI, here are the locations listed on the Singapore post website.

Just as a point to clarify, would you have say 75 minutes layover time at Changi? If so, that should be enough time to go groundside, mail the packages from the Post Office at Terminal 2 departures and get back to airside. Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your questions but if you are asking about the mobile post offices then I assume that you are arriving at either T1 or T3. If no other poster can reply you here, your best bet is to get to the Mobile Post office and ask your questions. If they can't take your package, assume that it would take 10 minutes from that point to get groundside, then another 10-15 minutes to get to the T2 ground side post office (skytrain), then 15 minutes to get to your departure gate after leaving the post office.

You can also try this site, see if Sing Post will answer your question:

Just thought I'd tag my question here - the postal enquiry doesn't seem to allow the question as it isn't about post.

Will the mobile post offices in T1 offer the purchase and charging of ez-link cards? Or anywhere else on the trip between T1 and CIP on a buggy?

Thanks.

"CIP"?

7-11s sell and top up EZ-Links, and there are a couple in Changi, but IIRC they're all tucked away in somewhat obscure locations and not necessarily buggy-able.

Apologies - Jetquay CIP.

Well aware of 7-11's - getting in late so was hoping to make it just a couple of short buggy stops ie atm, ez-link etc and then straight from the hotel onto mrt without passing "go" etc ......

If there are 7-11's en-route to CIP - then they'll do. Thanks.

You can't post a parcel airside to a Singapore address. You have to exit customs and then post in landside. However, you can post a parcel airside to international addresses.
