I'll need to get a new suit for some weddings I'll be attending next year and was thinking of getting one tailored in SG as I'll be over there over CNY 2010 (2-3 wk). Can anybody recommend one?

What I'm looking for is good craftsmanship and someone willing to work on my schedule (I presume most places will be closed over CNY); it'll be great if the tailor has good material in stock so I wouldn't have to go elsewhere to shop for cloth.

A few of my friends have pointed me elsewhere in Asia, but since my travel schedule is quite inflexible, Singapore is pretty much my only choice if I wanted to get a suit tailored for a good price. Its either that or something off-the-shelf near home. Appreciate any help I can get.

This location is close to the financial district; Boat Quay itself is an expat hangout so I reckon they should be good with tourists.

Again, I don't vouch for them - just offering another suggestion. Probably best if you make your way to the shop, look around and make up your own mind. Good luck!

I second Jack Custom Tailors. They are located in the Far East Plaza. I have gotten several suits and shirts from them over the years. Everything has been very well made and holds up extremely well. I am still wearing the first shirts I bought from there in 2003 and you can't tell they are over six years old.
