Nairobi, Kenya
In today's local paper, there is an article that SQ is looking at starting flights from SIN - NBO by April this year. Would anyone know how true this is?

Tourism in Kenya is booming, and also Nairobi is a hub for Eastern, Sub-Saharan and West Africa.
Emirates has a daily double to DXB, Qatar has flights, Virgin starts in June this year to LHR daily.
I heard a rumor on the weekend that Kenya Airways is looking at flights to Sydney via Bangkok.

Yesterday's local Standard Newspaper ran a storey that SQ is starting flights in 2 weeks time SIN-NBO. The SQ website has nothing, and when I spoke to my travel agent, she said that they are aware that SQ was starting, but have had no further information. 2 weeks, and no promo??? sounds wierd.

Quite possible, as no SQ-metal flight to NBO has been announced in SQ's Northern Summer Schedule.

my money is on it being a freight service - I believe SQ have a weekly SIN-JNB-BRU freighter , perhaps hot and high conditions at JNB and high loads are making a refuelling stop necessary ?
