Thank you for posting. Took the same flight last May 31. Different menu items, except the first two main courses (snapper and beef).
I like baramundi as my BTC choice out from SYD.

Sorry could not find my SQ222 May menu. It was dinner and refreshments. Similar to SQ232. (If I am not mistaken)

Regarding the SQ 12 menu, I cant say I ate a lot of it. Everything I had was good but I probably only had half of the courses. I skipped the breakfast altogether as I was too full still. Hey, a whole can of caviar will do that to you!

The flight attendants on both segements to/from LAX (SQ 11 and 12) were encouraging me to eat the second meal. The attendant on SQ 12 explained that I was probably just feeling bloated. She said that is how she feels after such a long flight. That's exactly how I felt but I had never heard anyone say that before. She said that as soon as she is at the hotel she is starving again. Long story short, I still did not eat breakfast and as she predicted I was starving by the time I hit the First Class Lounge (United) at LAX. Anyone else feel that way for the second meal?

The food lover in me always goes for all meals, big or small. Sometimes I squeeze in a snack too, like how I finished a bowl of wantan noodles midflight on SQ19.

I did the Shi Quan Shi Mei menu (but with caviar starters) on Fri from HKG to SIN and found it to be alot of food and pretty good. I thought it was a little bland but it was pretty good. The problem was that I couldn't stop laughing from watching "Kung Fu Hustle" and didn't pay much attention to what I was eating...maybe it was the Dom...

High appraisal from a relatively tough food critic. Now that you've given such remarks, there should be no doubts in my mind to try them. I was in HK all of last week and StarG notified me of you being there. But I was so occupied with so many personal matters that I forgot to PM you. Oh well we can meet up in CGK come Nov.
