Yes can eat at any time. From many places you can also Book the Cook to order special meal not on the regular menu.

There have been a couple of threads on the Book The Cook options (BTC). It seems that the Lobster Thermador is universally aclaimed. The Japanese Kyo-Kaiseki box is adored by some and blasted by others. Some have reported that if once on board you prefer something on the regular menu that they are happy to serve you that instead. The list of meal choices is here:

You need to order at least 24 hours in advance. You will be glad to know that I am told they serve your name sake "Dom" in F as well.

Sorry, can not resist to clarify. It's not in a box. It's on a tray with beautiful different sizes of serving bowl. The box term reminds me of Obento choice on UA.

Now here is my question for the expert in food. Which one is the correct "Lobster Thermidor"? Last month, I did BTC for LT. I think it was from LHR, the LT was the usual that I had eaten before. But for my LT out from SIN, it was mixed with MUSHROOMS. The later did not taste good because of the mushrooms.

The Kyo-Kaiseki isn't for you if you're squeamish . . I didn't have a clue as to what I was eating. . I only recognized the tentacles. . But it does vary by season

well...not trying to blast SIA, but i think the Kaiseki is really a rip-off. the best i had ever had was onboard China Airlines. Kaiseki 5 course meal!! now that is what i call a proper meal.

in fact, i am getting sick of the BTC. since 1998 when i started flying FC on SIA, most of the menu in BTC remains the same until today.

Surely for those of us who haven't had the pleasure of flying SQ since 1998, we can still enjoy Book The Cook for some time to come ...
